"Reflection" continues Leigh WEN’s distinctive incised-line technique, using layers of delicate engraved lines to capture the most captivating moments of the lakeside landscape during the transition from spring to summer. The crystal-clear water surface reflects the lush forest and vibrant green foliage along the shore, while also intertwining the light of the sky, ripples on the water, and gently swaying aquatic plants beneath the surface into a multi-layered space. The real landscape and its reflection overlap, creating a visual experience that moves between reality and illusion.
Through each carefully carved line, the artist reveals the movement of light passing through the water and the subtle changes created by ripples stirred by the breeze. The verdant forest, flourishing vegetation, and transparent lake water merge through layers of green and blue tones, presenting a vibrant scene filled with the energy and vitality of nature.
