In this work, Yi Yi Jeong-Eun transforms the fleeting vitality of a crape myrtle into a richly tactile field of color and gesture. Rather than depicting the flower in a representational manner, she distills its delicate bloom, vibrant hues, and quiet energy into layers of luminous pinks, fresh greens, soft yellows, and touches of turquoise. The painting becomes less a picture of nature than an embodiment of its rhythm and life force.
