Introduced in 2023, the Still Life series marks a new direction in Lin YiLung's practice. The title combines the ideas of the fleeting and the enduring, reflecting the artist's ongoing interest in time and space. Drawing from everyday observations and lived experience, LIN builds each ceramic form through repeated layering and hand-modeling, allowing traces of both momentary gestures and accumulated time to remain visible. Compared with his earlier works, which focused more on individual forms, the Still Life series expands its attention to the passage of time and the relationship between people and their surroundings.
