Zhuang Hongyi is renowned for his patented painting technique, "Flowerbed Colorchange," which features flower elements as the dominant motif in his compositions, achieving subtle and exquisite variations in color layering. Viewed from a distance, the painting reveals a gradual gradient of color from left to right; upon closer inspection, however, the colors blend seamlessly into a harmonious and unified whole. In Zhuang's works, Eastern and Western aesthetics converge, jointly shaping a distinctive artistic temperament. He skillfully combines traditional Chinese ink techniques with Western mixed media, using collaged xuan paper petals to add a velvet-embroidery-like texture to the picture. At the same time, dotted details shimmer like starlight, lending the composition a lighter and more radiant quality. Large areas of splashed and overlapping paint create rich textures and chromatic effects. These spontaneous, vibrant colors—reflective of Zhuang Hongyi's sunny and optimistic personality—infuse the viewer with boundless energy and appeal. In his works, the power of color is fully harnessed, and through deft textural handling and chromatic fusion, he presents a uniquely captivating artistic allure.
