Love in Embrace
In Love in Embrace, OISHI places a red heart with a smiling face at the center of the composition—like a lamp that never dazzles, yet continues to glow—holding the purest source of feeling. Around it, handdrawn characters and symbols are densely woven, as if moving along the same invisible melody: holding hands, dancing, greeting one another, and offering encouragement. Here, “love” is no longer an abstract slogan, but a living state of interaction the eye can follow. The circular composition forms a ring—at once shelter and cycle—suggesting protection and return: love is answered and cared for in everyday life, deepening through repetition and enduring through flow. The differences between individuals, so present in our time, are gently preserved: some figures are rounded and soft, like clouds and bubbles, while others appear as angular squares, stars, and diamonds.
With minimal, buoyant gestures, they drift toward one another, joyfully orbiting within the same field, each keeping its own rhythm while joining a shared movement. Scattered flowers, star-specks, wavy lines, and rhythmic marks read like whispered echoes, emotional vibrations, and blessings in the air. With light brushwork that nonetheless carries intense feeling, the work turns an embrace into a palpable visual warmth: each person, with their own shape and boundaries, can still be gathered into a single lifelanguage of inclusion, flow, and resonance—interlacing into a tender communal imagination that continues to expand.
