Born from an ordinary morning, this work was inspired by the sunlight piercing through my window. As I prepared to close the curtains, I was struck by the sight of distant mountains glinting in the light, their slopes dotted with shimmering homes.
In this piece, I attempt to document and translate that vision: animals are reimagined as mountain ranges, while their tails represent the imprint of human habitation. By utilizing the specific textures of the carving tool, the work highlights the contrasting "brushstrokes" of the natural world and human presence.
