I continue to document the visual language and modes of perception of our time through my practice. The images that are constantly repeated and rapidly consumed by the media often form the very foundation of how we understand the world.
For me, Formula One racing represents a quintessential example of this phenomenon. It exists simultaneously in reality and in imagery, continuously magnified through the act of viewing. It is not only a symbol of speed and competition, but also a highly condensed cultural signifier of our time—one that embodies the intersections of technology, capital, branding, and systems of spectatorship.
In this work, the racing car is recontextualized within the composition. Its sense of speed is momentarily suspended, transformed into a presence that invites contemplation. When a familiar symbol is re-seen, it no longer speaks solely of racing, but becomes a record of the contemporary condition and a means of re-perceiving our present.
