ART TAIPEI 2026 | ONE H Gallery
LEE Ufan | Dialogue on Ceramic | Pigment on ceramic | 33 cm | 2016

The following artwork is part of a collaboration series between LEE Ufan and PARK Young Sook. PARK Young Sook is a traditional ceramist based in Korea, known for her ‘Moon Jar’ which was selected one of the best collections by V&A museum in 2012. The encounter of the two artists is signified not only for combining the two different disciplines but also enhancing cultural elements. The aesthetic of craftsmanship and retainment is felt through effortless brushstroke on perfectly imperfect surface; the thickness of the ceramic plate is carefully structured by hand, and the saturation of paint is strictly controlled to produce the right hue. Together the two artists were able to create a life-long sustainable art piece embracing its core culture.
